How Interior Design Firms Can Prepare a Trade Scope

What a contractor needs before quoting: drawings, finishes, site access, and a clear list of trades.
A contractor can quote more clearly when the design is already decided. Share the approved layout, relevant elevations, a finishes schedule, and a list of the trades you want executed — electrical, plumbing, tiling, painting, carpentry installation, glass, waterproofing, and so on.
Include site facts that drawings do not always show: property type, floor, access hours, loading, protection requirements, and whether the unit is occupied. Flag items that are still pending client confirmation so they are not priced as if they were fixed.
